2nd hope
I asked the head of IT department whether he can recover the files I had deleted in the office PC. Particularly my travel photos which i had initially stored in that PC before I own my less-than-month-old-stolen-laptop. macam xde harapan tapi masih berharap...harap2 la..... T_T

The mechanism of files termination in computer which ordinary human called it as DELETE has three level.
i. Delete - will throw the subjected files into, of course Recycle Bin. To recover you just need only three clicks only, first - click the Recycle Bin folder, second - click the desired files, third - click restore and there, DONE.
ii. Shift+Delete - People use this method when he/she in their thoughts were 100% dont need anymore the files or virus force-delete. This kind of Delete will not go through Recycle Bin folder in human eyes. But in binary eyes it will accumulated in a specific memory, which i forgot the name hehe sorry. Okay nevermind, theoretically the memory has the thing you called the HOPE there to get your deleted files. Where this memory stores not big in the size, but still manage to store thousands of deleted files or even million, break your brain to calculate it young lady. To recover data from this memory, it has ermm you know the skills of the data recover. Usually the simple way is using commercial software such as System Mechanics(tried and easy last few years), Nucleus, Boomerang etc. The more hardcore recover, you need the skills of Intel and memory architecture – Digital System, where this kind of guy will bring you to exact data location in memory, usually they will work under the umbrella of MSDOS.
iii. Format - as you know, it will delete all your previous data and left you nothing isn't it? But you are wrong here. Depending on what brand and type of hardisk you use, usually the hardisk designer will give you 32MB cache. Where this cache has the same mechanism like discussed in section ii. But a bit harder which I have not tries it before, but according to theory there is still hope but lower success rate.

ii. Picture or letter usually/document has high success rate on getting back the deleted thingy
iii. The skills of Data Recovery at Lowyat costs fixed price, RM800 if he/she manages to get back what you want then the price will varies depending on the size recovered.
iv. Your IT department is has low knowledge in IT skills, I guess and no offense here.

whoa.. thats a mind blowing explanation.. THANKS. I need someone to translate it into a layman term. but the IT guy once said he needs to use the commercial software.. he did explain how it works, but i went blur. huhuhuh thanks again.

tekan delete pastu empty recycle bin. the normal way.
arap le restore blik gmba2 tu..gud luck..pasni kna siap sedia ngan 3rd hope lak musyi....xternal hard disk :)....
i never have a good luck with digital/comp stuff.. br bli pendrive smggu hilang nth kemana.. this is actually my second laptop that got stolen from burgled. kire double whammy habes.. nak bli hard disk pun tawar hati. T_T
